  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order brings the Food Safety Act 1999 into force, in so far as it is not already in force.\nSection 43 of, and paragraph 6(2) and (5) of Schedule 5 to, the Food Standards Act 1999 came into force when the Act obtained Royal Assent.\nCertain other provisions of the Act were brought into force, or brought into force for particular purposes, on 11th January 2000 by the Food Standards Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/92 (C. 2)).",
