  "text": "(1) This Act shall apply to any ... friendly benefit, building ... society incorporated by or in pursuance of any Act of Parliament , and to any registered society, as if the society were a company.\n(2) Registered society” means—\n(a) a registered society within the meaning of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, or\n(b) a society registered or deemed to be registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969.",
