# Forged Transfers Act 1891, Section 3: Application to industrial societies, &c.

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(1) This Act shall apply to any ... friendly benefit, building ... society incorporated by or in pursuance of any Act of Parliament , and to any registered society, as if the society were a company.
(2) Registered society” means—
(a) a registered society within the meaning of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, or
(b) a society registered or deemed to be registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969.
