# The Fossil Fuel Levy Regulations 1990, Regulation 38: Deemed delivery of posted documents


(1) Any document required or authorised by these Regulations to be served (whether the expression “serve” or the expression “send” or “give” or any other expression is used) on any person shall, if sent by first class post, be deemed to have been delivered 48 hours from the time of posting.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall apply only for the purpose of determining when, for the purposes of these Regulations, a document sent by post is deemed to be delivered, and shall not affect any obligation of any person to furnish any information set out in the document.
