# The Fostering Services Regulations 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st April 2002
The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 22(1), (2)(a) to (c), (e) to (j), (6), (7)(a) to (h), (j), 25(1), 34(1), 48(1), 52(1), 118(5) to (7) of the Care Standards Act 2000 and sections 23(2)(a) and (9), 59(2) and 62(3) of, and paragraph 12 of Schedule 2 to, the Children Act 1989 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf and having consulted such persons as he considers appropriate, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
