# The Fostering Services (Wales) Regulations 2003, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st April 2003
The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by sections 16(2), 22(1), (2)(a) to (c), (e) to (j), (6), (7)(a) to (h), (j), 25(1), 34(1), 35(1), 48(1), 118(5), (6) and (7) of the Care Standards Act 2000 and sections 23(2)(a) and (9), 59(2) and 62(3) of, and paragraph 12 of Schedule 2 to, the Children Act 1989,and having consulted such persons as it considers appropriate, hereby makes the following Regulations:
