# The Free Zone Designations (Amendments) Order 2006, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the free zone designation orders in respect of the free zones at Southampton, Liverpool, Prestwick Airport, Port of Tilbury and Port of Sheerness by removing, in each case, the obligation upon the Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, to keep the free zone maps at New King’s Beam House. It maintains the obligation of the responsible authority, in each case, to keep a copy of the map.
The maps are held by the Commissioners' Frontiers Unit at Portcullis House, 27 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on Sea, SS2 6AL and are available for inspection, on application, during normal office hours.
In addition, this Order amends the free zone designation orders in respect of the free zones at Liverpool and Sheerness by updating the details of the responsible authority.
No regulatory impact assessment has been produced for this Order as it has no impact on the costs of businesses, charities or voluntary bodies.
