# The Fuel and Electricity (Heating) (Control) Order 1974, Introduction: Introductory text


CONTROL OF FUEL AND ELECTRICITY
Made 19th December 1974
Laid before Parliament 20th December 1974
Coming into Operation 13th January 1975
The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 2(1) of the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973 (as continued in force by the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973 (Continuation) Order 1974) and section 7 of the Emergency Laws (Re-enactments and Repeals) Act 1964 as having effect by virtue of section 5(1) of the Fuel and Electricity (Control) Act 1973, hereby makes the following Order:—
