  "text": "(1) The licensing authority which issues a permit shall as soon as is reasonably practicable inform the persons specified in sub-paragraph (2) if the authority—\n(a) believe that the permit has lapsed under paragraph 17(2)(c) or 18, or\n(b) receive notice of surrender under paragraph 19.\n(2) The persons mentioned in sub-paragraph (1) are—\n(a) the Commission, and\n(b) the chief officer of police for any area in which the premises to which the permit relates are wholly or partly situated.",
