  "text": "(1) A person commits an offence if he manufactures, supplies, installs, adapts, maintains or repairs a gaming machine or part of a gaming machine unless—\n(a) he acts in accordance with an operating licence, or\n(b) an exception in or under section 248 or 250 applies.\n(2) A person commits an offence if he—\n(a) supplies, installs, adapts, maintains or repairs a gaming machine or part of a gaming machine, and\n(b) fails to comply with a provision of regulations under section 241.\n(3) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to the supply of a gaming machine, or part of a gaming machine—\n(a) as scrap (without any element of salvage), or\n(b) incidental to the sale or letting of property on which the machine has previously been used in reliance on a provision of this Act.",
