# The Gangmasters (Licensing Conditions) (Amendment) (Fees) Rules 2025, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 28th April 2025
The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority, with the approval of the Secretary of State in accordance with section 8(1) of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004 (“the Act”), makes these Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) and (2)(h) of the Act.
In accordance with paragraph 10(3) of Schedule 2 to the Act, the Authority has consulted with the relevant Northern Ireland department.
