The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him (as respects article 2) by section 8A(1) of the Gas Act 1986f1and after consultation with the Director General of Gas Supply and (as respects article 3) by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972f2 being the Minister designatedf3 for the purposes of that section in relation to units of measurement to be used for economic, health, safety or administrative purposes, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
