# The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, Regulation 4: Amendment of regulation 26


(1) Regulation 26(9) (gas appliances – safety precautions – examinations required) is amended as follows.
(2) In sub-paragraph (c), at the beginning, insert “subject to sub-paragraph (ca),”.
(3) After sub-paragraph (c), insert—
“(ca) if it is not reasonably practicable to examine its operating pressure or heat input (or, where necessary, both), its combustion performance;”.
