Regulation 3 Amendment of the General Teaching Council for England (Disciplinary Functions) Regulations 2001

Regulation 2 shall be amended as follows.

In paragraph (1), insert the following new definitions in the appropriate place in alphabetical order—

““agent” has the meaning given by section 15A(1) of the 1998 Act;”;

““arrangements” means arrangements of the kind referred to in section 15A(1) of the 1998 Act for a worker to carry out work;”; and

““worker” has the meaning given by section 15A(1) of the 1998 Act.”.

For paragraph (3) substitute the following—

“(3)

In regulations 13A, 18 and 29 “employer” means—

(a)

a local education authority,

(b)

a person exercising a function relating to the provision of education on behalf of a local education authority,

(c)

the proprietor of a school (including an independent school), or

(d)

the governing body of a further education institution.”.
