  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThe General Teaching Council for Wales Order 1998 (“the 1998 Order”) established the General Teaching Council for Wales and gave effect to a number of sections of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998 in relation to that body. This Order amends the 1998 Order as a consequence of the Education Act 2011, which provides for the abolition of the General Teaching Council for England.\nArticle 2 of this Order amends the 1998 Order so that a reference to the General Teaching Council for England is omitted.",
