Regulation 9 Revocations and savings
(1)
The Health and Safety (Genetic Manipulation) Regulations 1978f1 are hereby revoked.
(2)
In the case of an activity involving genetic manipulation commenced—
(a)
before the date on which these Regulations come into force it shall be sufficient compliance with regulation 5(1) if the intention to carry out that activity was notified under the said Regulations of 1978;
(b)
on or after the date on which these Regulations come into force it shall be sufficient compliance with regulation 5(1) (in so far as it requires a notification referred to in regulation 5(2)(a)) if the intention to carry out that activity was notified under the said Regulations of 1978.
