# The Genetically Modified Organisms (Contained Use) Regulations 1992, Regulation 4: Meaning of “work” “at work”


For the purpose of these Regulations and Part I of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 the meaning of “work” shall be extended to include any activity involving genetic modification and the meaning of “at work” shall be extended accordingly.
