# The Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 1992, Regulation 9: General condition on consents to release organisms

Extent: E+W+S

In section 112 of the Act (Consents: limitations and conditions) there shall be substituted for paragraph (b) of subsection (5) the following paragraph—
“(b) notify the Secretary of State of—
(i) any new information which becomes available with regard to any risks there are of damage to the environment being so caused, and
(ii) the effects of any releases by him for the assessment of any risks there are of damage to the environment being so caused by such organisms being released or marketed;”.
