  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nIn terms of section 1(2) of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 (“the 2008 Act”), a “Games location” is a place in which an event is held as part of the Games and any other place specified by order which is used in connection with the Games. This Order specifies the Merchant City and George Square, Glasgow as Games locations. Cultural events are to be held in these places in connection with the Games.\nThe main effect of specifying a place as a Games location is that the restrictions in sections 2 (trading) and 10 (advertising) of the 2008 Act will apply in the vicinity of the locations. Regulations to be made in connection with those sections will specify (by reference to maps) the places which are to be treated as being in the vicinity of each Games location.",
