# The Gloucestershire (Coroners' Districts) Order 2006, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
The county of Gloucestershire was divided into two coroners' districts by the Gloucestershire (Coroners' Districts) Order 1974 (S.I. 1974/368).
This Order amalgamates these two districts to create a single Coroner’s District. The County of Gloucestershire now comprises a single Coroner’s District known as the Gloucestershire Coroner’s District.
