  "heading": "Period of validity of goods vehicle test certificate",
  "text": "(1) Subject to paragraph (1A), a goods vehicle test certificate issued in the circumstances described in column (2) of an item in the Table below shall be valid for the period described in column (3) of that item.\n(1)\n(2)\n(3)\nItem\nCircumstances\nPeriod of validity\n1.\nVehicle submitted for a first examination during the two month period ending with the appropriate day.\nThe period beginning with the date of issue of the certificate and ending with the first anniversary of the appropriate day.\n2.\nVehicle submitted for a periodical test during the two month period ending with the expiry date of a current goods vehicle test certificate.\nThe period beginning with the date of issue of the certificate and ending with the first anniversary of the expiry date of that certificate.\n3.\nVehicle submitted for a periodical test in circumstances other than those described in items 1 and 2 of this Table.\nThe period beginning with the date of issue of the certificate and ending with the last day of the same calendar month in the following year.\n(1A) A goods vehicle test certificate issued in relation to a category T tractor in the circumstances described in column (2) of an item in the Table above shall be valid for the period described in column (3) of that item, with the modifications that—\n(a) for “first anniversary” in items 1 and 2 there is substituted “second anniversary” and,\n(b) for “in the following year” in item 3 there is substituted “two years later”.\n(2) In this regulation, a reference to the end of a period is a reference to the end of the final day of that period.",
