  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the grants for Pre-school Education (Scotland) Regulations 1996 to take account of the fact that, as from 1st April 1997, East Renfrewshire Council, one of the education authorities participating in this trial of funding arrangements, will be responsible for managing Calderwood Primary School in the local government area of Glasgow City.\nThe amendments enable the Secretary of State to pay grants in respect of pre-school education provided at the school during the remainder of the current school year for children whose parent is ordinarily resident in any of the local government areas covered by this funding arrangements trial.",
