# The Grants to the Churches Conservation Trust Order 1996, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 3rd December 1996
Coming into force 1st April 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(1) and (2) of the Redundant Churches and other Religious Buildings Act 1969 and now vested in her, and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, with the approval of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order, in the terms of a draft approved by resolution of the House of Commons:
