# The Grants to the Churches Conservation Trust Order 2026, Introduction: Introductory text


ECCLESIASTICAL LAW, ENGLAND AND WALES
Made 25th March 2026
Coming into force 1st April 2026
The Secretary of State, with the approval of the Treasury, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Redundant Churches and other Religious Buildings Act 1969 and now vested in the Secretary of State.
In accordance with section 1(4) of that Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of the House of Commons.
