# The Great Place (England) Joint Scheme (Authorisation) Order 2017, Paragraph 1


The nature and purposes of the Great Place (England) joint scheme (“the Joint Scheme”) is to make grants to non-profit making organisations, working in partnership with others, to support the delivery of projects which have a commitment to embed arts, culture and heritage in local plans and decision making. The Joint Scheme will fund activities across England, including in at least four rural areas.
