# The Greater London Authority Act 1999 (Amendment) Order 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st July 2012
The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 31(9) and 420(1) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
A draft of the Order was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 420(3)(b) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 and approved by resolution of each House.
