# The Greater London Authority (Disqualification) Order 2000, Introduction: Introductory text


LONDON GOVERNMENT
Made 23rd February 2000
Coming into force 24th February 2000
Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 420(3)(a) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999:
Now therefore, the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(1)(b) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999, hereby makes the following Order:
