# The Greater London Authority Elections Rules 2007, Paragraph 2: Interpretation


(1) In the rules in this Schedule, unless the context indicates otherwise—
“candidate” means a candidate to be the Mayor;
“election” means an election for the return of the Mayor;
(2) Reference to a rule by number alone is a reference to the rule so numbered in this Schedule.
