Article 3

The Representation of the People Regulations 1950 ^f1 as amended ^f2 and the Election Petition Rules 1960^f3—

(a)

shall apply in relation to Greater London and to elections of councillors of the Greater London Council as they apply in relation to an administrative county and to elections of county councillors;

(b)

shall, without prejudice to section 1(6) of the London Government Act 1963 (which applies the Municipal Corporations Act 1882 to the London boroughs), apply in relation to London boroughs and to elections of councillors of London boroughs as they apply in relation to other boroughs and to elections of councillors thereof,

and accordingly any expression used therein which is also used in the Representation of the People Act 1949 shall, except as otherwise provided in this or any other order made under section 84 of the London Government Act 1963, have the same meaning as in the said Act of 1949 as applied and modified by the said Act of 1963.
