This Order—

(a)

ensures that the instruments mentioned in article 3 apply to elections for the Greater London Council and the London boroughs;

(b)

makes certain adaptation of the regulations mentioned in article 4 and the Act mentioned in article 5;

(c)

makes, in relation to the first election of councillors of the Greater London Council and of the London borough councils, certain further adaptation and provision in relation to the registers of electors and declarations of acceptance of office.
