  "text": "(1) In these Regulations –\n“the Act” means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;\n“adopted” means adopted pursuant to –\n(a)an order made in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man;\n(b)an overseas adoption within the meaning of section 72(2) of the Adoption Act 1976;\n(c)a Convention adoption order within the meaning of section 72(1) of the Adoption Act 1976; or\n(d)a foreign adoption order within the meaning of section 4(3) of the Adoption (Hague Convention) Act (Northern Ireland) 1969.\n“the Board” means the Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs;\n“the Northern Ireland Act” means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992.",
