# Gun Barrel Proof Act 1868, Section 23: Qualification of elected Guardians.


No Person shall be entitled to be elected or to continue an elected Guardian unless he be of full Age, and shall reside in or within Ten Miles of ...Birmingham, and unless he shall be seised or possessed of Real or Personal Estate, or both, to the Amount of One thousand Pounds, or be rated to the Relief of the Poor of the Parish in which he shall reside upon an annual Value of not less than Fifty Pounds.
