This Order amends the provisions of paragraphs 12 and 14A and repeals paragraph 14B of Part II of Schedule 1 to the Hallmarking Act 1973 to make it clear that, for an article containing precious metal and other materials to be exempt from hallmarking under paragraphs 12 and 14A, it must also satisfy the conditions for hallmarking laid down in Part III of Schedule 2 to the Act.
