  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order increases the maximum Monetary Penalty which may be imposed by the Disciplinary Committee of the Hearing Aid Council from £1000 to £5000. The Council was established under section 1 of the Hearing Aid Council Act 1968 and the Disciplinary Committee was set up in exercise of the powers conferred on the Council under section 6 of that Act. The Committee considers and determines disciplinary cases and under section 7(1) of the Act may impose penalties including a monetary penalty.",
