(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations further amend the Heavy Goods Vehicles (Drivers' Licences) Regulations 1977 by increasing the fee payable under regulation 23 thereof, by a person who applies for a driving test, from £40 to £42.

Regulation 24(b) of those Regulations is also amended so as to increase the period of notice required to cancel an appointment for a driving test, if the fee is to be repaid, from three to ten clear days. The three day notice period will remain in respect of appointments made before the date of coming into force of these Regulations.
