Explanatory note

This Order is supplemental to the Hereford and Worcester (Structural and Boundary Changes) Order 1996 which alters the structure of local government in the county of Hereford and Worcester.

This Order provides for the employment of staff employed by the Hereford and Worcester County Council to be transferred to the Herefordshire District Council and the Worcestershire County Council; the staff employed by Hereford City Council to be transferred to the Herefordshire District Council; the staff employed by South Herefordshire District Council to be transferred to the Herefordshire District Council; the staff employed by the Leominster District Council to be transferred to the Herefordshire District Council, and the new Malvern Hills District Council; and the staff of the former Malvern Hills District Council to be transferred to the Herefordshire District Council and the new Malvern Hills District Council.

This Order refers to a designated list of employees and a copy of the list may be inspected at any of the offices of the councils referred to and at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Eland House, Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DU.
