# The Highways Noise Payments and Movable Homes (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2000, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations correct defects in the Highways Noise Payments and Movable Homes (England) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/2887) to make it clear, in accordance with the enabling powers, that noise payments under regulation 3(1) are discretionary and that the figure of £1,650 mentioned in regulation 5(1) is the maximum noise payment that may be made.
