# The Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1993, Regulation 3: Works which are traffic calming works


For the purpose of section 90G(1)(a) of the Highways Act 1980 build-outs, chicanes, gateways, islands, overrun areas, pinch-points, or rumble devices or any combination of such works shall be traffic calming works.
