# The Hinkley Point (Temporary Jetty) (Land Acquisition) Order 2012, Article 3: Power to acquire land


The Company may acquire compulsorily so much of the land shown coloured pink and edged red on the land plan and described in the book of reference, or such estates, interests, easements, or other rights in or over the land (save for the freehold or any other interest of the Environment Agency in the land referred to on the land plan under reference TWA_1 (and so described in the book of reference)), as may be required for the purposes of the works and it may use any land so acquired for those purposes or for any other purposes ancillary to the undertaking.
