# The Hirwaun Generating Station Order 2015, Paragraph 17: Decommissioning strategy

Extent: E+W+S

(1) Subject to obtaining the necessary consents, unless otherwise agreed with the relevant planning authority, within twenty four months of the site ceasing to be used for the purposes of electricity generation (either actively generating electricity or being available to generate electricity on a standby basis), a scheme for the demolition and removal of numbered work 2 must be submitted to the relevant planning authority.
(2) The demolition and removal of numbered work 2 must be implemented in accordance with the approved scheme.
