# The Historic Environment Scotland (First Planning Period) Order 2015, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
The Historic Environment Scotland Act 2014 establishes Historic Environment Scotland (in Gaelic, Àrainneachd Eachdraidheil na h-Alba) and makes minor amendments to the law relating to the historic environment.
This Order specifies the period from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2019 as the first planning period for Historic Environment Scotland’s corporate plan.
