  "text": "GOVERNMENT TRADING FUNDS\nMade 30th September 1996\nLaid before Parliament 30th September 1996\nComing into force 5th October 1996\nWhereas:\n(1) the operations of the department of the government known as Her Majesty’s Stationery Office (“HMSO”) are financed by means of a fund established by the HMSO Trading Fund Order 1980 made under the Government Trading Funds Act 1973 (“the 1973 Act”), and as amended by the HMSO Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 1994 made under the 1973 Act, and\n(2) it appears to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, being the Minister of the Crown responsible for HMSO, that its operations should cease to be financed by means of a trading fund;\nNow, therefore, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 6(1) of the 1973 Act, and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:—",
