# The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme Regulations 1997, Regulation 3: Area agencies


(1) The Secretary of State may appoint a person or body of persons, known as an area agency, to perform in any area such functions as he may specify for the purpose of, or otherwise in connection with, the making of grants.
(2) Schedule 1 shall have effect with respect to each area agency.
