# The Home Information Pack Regulations 2006, Paragraph 8: Transfer of cover to future owners


The new homes warranty must be capable of being transferred during the warranty period—
(a) by a current policy-holder to a subsequent owner of the property; and
(b) no payment or consideration in kind must be charged to anyone for doing so.
