S.I. 2003/1706 · made 8 July 2003

These Regulations increase the amount of home loss payments in England which may be payable under the Land Compensation Act 1973. Regulation 3(1) deals with cases where the person displaced has an owner’s interest (or is treated as having such an interest). It increases the maximum amount of a home loss payment from £15,000 to £31,000 and the minimum amount from £1,500 to £3,100. Regulation 3(2) increases the amount of a home loss payment in other cases from £1,500 to £3,100. The increases do not apply in cases where displacement occurs before the date in which these Regulations come into force (regulation 3(3)).
