  "text": "A development corporation shall be deemed to be a housing association within the meaning of this Act and accordingly arrangements may be made under section one hundred and twenty of this Act for the provision by a development corporation of any housing accommodation which a local authority are empowered to provide under this Act, and section one hundred and twenty-one of this Act shall apply to a development corporation as it applies to a housing association:\nProvided that the said section one hundred and twenty-one shall not apply to a development corporation established by an order under section sixteen of the New Towns Act, 1946 (which relates to orders for the combination and transfer of functions of development corporations).",
