# The Housing Act 1996 (Consequential Amendments) Order 1997, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the legislation specified in the Schedule to the Order in consequence of the provisions on introductory tenancies in Chapter I of Part V of the Housing Act 1996. Most of the amendments are to housing legislation and add references to introductory tenancies where there are already references to secure tenancies.
