# Housing (Consequential Provisions) Act 1985, Paragraph 47


In section 36(2) of the Highways Act 1980 (general definition of highways maintainable at the public expense), in paragraph (b) (highways constructed by local authorities under housing powers)—
(a) for “Part V of the Housing Act 1957” substitute “Part II of the Housing Act 1985”;
(b) for “the said Part V”, in each place where it occurs, substitute “the said Part II”.
