  "heading": "Short title, commencement and extent.",
  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Housing (Consequential Provisions) Act 1985.\n(2) This Act comes into force on 1st April 1986.\n(3) The following provisions of this Act extend to England and Wales—\nsections 1 to 6,\nPart I of Schedule 1,\nin Schedule 2, paragraphs 1 to 9, 11, . . .14, 15, 18 to 24, 26, 28 to 36, 38, 43, 44, 46 to 50, 52 to 58, 60 and 61.\nSchedules 3 and 4.\n(4) The following provisions of this Act extend to Scotland—\nsections 1 to 6,\nPart II of Schedule 1,\nin Schedule 2, paragraphs 2, 5, 6, 7(3), 8, 10, 15 to 18, 20, 21, 25 to 29, 31, 37, 39 to 43, 45, 48, 52, 54 and 59,\nin Schedule 4, paragraphs 1, 2, 4, 15 and 16.\n(5) The following provisions of this Act extend to Northern Ireland—\nsections 1 to 4 and 6,\nPart III of Schedule 1,\nin Schedule 2, paragraphs 13, 51 and 52.",
