# The Housing Defects (Expenditure Limits) (No. 2) Order 1988, Introduction: Introductory text


This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of defects in S.I. 1988/820 which is replaced by this Instrument. It is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of S.I. 1988/820 which is revoked.

Laid before the House of Commons 26th May 1988
Coming into force 31st May 1988
The Secretary of State for the Environment, in relation to England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 543(4) and (5) of the Housing Act 1985 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:—
